Rob Miller is currently a full-time Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. He specializes in teaching 2D/3Danimation. Rob played a major roll in developing the new Animation Concentration as well as the Digital Arts Major at Parkside. He also designed the Digital Arts Studio as well as played a major role in the upgrade of the Mac Labs at Parkside.

Rob received his Master of Arts in Education/Multi-media and curriculum Design) from Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI) in 2004. He completed his B.F.A. degree in Art/Visual Communications from UW-Milwaukee in 1983. He also attended the International School of Animation at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario, Canada focusing on character animation in 1982/83. Rob has been responsible for designing all of the curriculum in the animation/art courses he teaches. He prides himself in keeping his ideas fresh and challenges himself to invent new ways to incorporate these ideas into his business and teaching.

During the summers Rob teaches both adult and youth classes. He teaches a masters class focusing on multimedia in the classroom at Alverno. His youth courses focus on technology and creative art courses, adding his own twist to engage children in their art. The various courses focus on web, cartooning, animation, digital photography and digital video. The age groups vary from second graders all the way to high school seniors. He teaches these courses at U.W.- Parkside (Kenosha, WI), Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI), U.W. - Baraboo (Baraboo, WI) and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (Milwaukee, WI).

He also runs his own free-lance business "Creative Animation & Effects", specializing in animation for sports and broadcast. His work has been shown at numerous Super Bowls, All-Star games and various sporting events around the world, including Miller Park. Rob has been professionally involved in animation since 1983. He was also a mascot for the Milwaukee Wave!
